Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Frigid Light LLC d/b/a Craftomatic (“Craftomatic,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
We collect information you give us directly when you create an account or use the Service:
- Email address. Collected at signup and used to authenticate your account via passwordless login, and to communicate with you about the Service.
- Business profile information. After signup, you may optionally provide your business name, mailing address, phone number, website URL, and logo. This information is used to generate packing slips and other fulfillment documents within the Service. All fields except your name are optional.
- Business data. Sales records, order details, inventory counts, product information, pricing, expenses, and other data you enter into or import into the Service. This data is used solely to provide the Service to you.
1.2 Information from Third-Party Integrations
If you connect a third-party account (such as Stripe) to Craftomatic, we receive data from that platform as authorized by you during the connection process. This may include order details, transaction amounts, customer names, and shipping addresses associated with your sales. We use this data only to populate your Craftomatic dashboard and reports.
We do not collect or store payment card numbers, bank account numbers, or other sensitive financial credentials. All payment processing for Craftomatic subscriptions is handled directly by Stripe, Inc. and governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
1.3 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit or use the Service, we and our analytics provider automatically collect certain technical information, including:
- Log data. Your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit.
- Cookies. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Service and collect analytics data. See Section 4 for more detail.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the Service, including authenticating your account, displaying your data, generating reports, and producing fulfillment documents.
- Communicate with you, including sending transactional emails (account notices, billing updates, security alerts) and product update emails about new features or changes to the Service. See Section 5 for your opt-out options.
- Improve the Service by analyzing usage patterns and understanding how features are used.
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the rights, property, or safety of Craftomatic and its users.
We do not use your business data (sales records, inventory, orders, etc.) for any purpose other than providing the Service to you. We do not sell your data to any third party.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
3.1 Service Providers
We share information with third-party vendors who help us deliver the Service. These providers are contractually required to use your information only as directed by us and in a manner consistent with this policy. Our current key service providers are:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — application hosting, content delivery, and security.
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing for paid subscriptions.
- Loops Technologies, Inc. (Loops) — email delivery for transactional and product update communications.
- Datafast (datafa.st) — website and product analytics.
3.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in good-faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, prevent fraud, or protect the personal safety of users or the public.
3.3 Business Transfers
If Craftomatic is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Service before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Cookies
We use cookies — small text files stored on your device — for the following purposes:
- Authentication. Session cookies that keep you logged in while you use the Service.
- Analytics. Our analytics provider, Datafast, uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors and track usage patterns across sessions. This includes collecting your IP address, which may be used to derive an approximate geographic location (city or region level). Datafast does not use this data for advertising purposes.
You can configure your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Note that disabling cookies may affect your ability to use certain features of the Service, including logging in.
5. Your Choices
5.1 Marketing and Product Update Emails
You may opt out of non-transactional emails (such as product updates and announcements) at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any such email or by contacting us at [email protected]. You cannot opt out of transactional emails (such as account security notices or billing confirmations) while your account is active, as these are necessary to operate the Service.
5.2 Account Data Access and Correction
You can review and update most of your account and business profile information directly within the Service. If you need to access, correct, or export information that is not editable in the Service, please contact us at [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
5.3 Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon deletion, all of your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. This action is irreversible; please export any data you wish to retain before deleting your account.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or your account is terminated, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it longer to comply with a legal obligation or to resolve a dispute.
Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you may be retained for longer periods for analytical purposes.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Our infrastructure is hosted on Cloudflare, which provides additional network-level security controls.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at [email protected].
8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we may have collected information from a minor, please contact us at [email protected].
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (to the address on your account) or by displaying a prominent notice in the Service before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated.
